This page is dedicated to the pets of our ranch.
We don't sale off our horses just because they are old and can't produce any more. Every animal here has a purpose. They are an important part of the ranch and an important part of our family.
BOGIE is a 2009 Grulla paint gelding.
We original purchased Bogie as a yearling and 3 others for riding. Then Kelly saw Gun Smoke Spider (Smokes) as a yearling and just had to have him (I didn't mind the purchase). Well Smokes changed everything. We started purchasing breeding stock and having a few horses just to ride went right out the window.
Kelly did train Bogie so we could ride him. Bogie has the smoothest trot (it feels like your sitting in a rocking chair). When we moved the horses to the La Point ranch in 2016, we turned Bogie out with the mares for the winter. We noticed that he became the leader of the herd right away. Bogie will herd the mares away from the gate and keep them back when we go in the field to feed everyday. Every year we turn Bogie in with the mares from Novemeber to the first part of March. When March comes around we move him and the other geldings back to their pens before the babies get here.
Chrome is a 2016 Buckskin gelding.
Chrome is a son of Gun Smoke Spider out of a grade Palamino mare we called Daisy. When Chrome was about 2 months old his mom died. We put Chrome in with a 2 year old named Quite A Holi Prom, AKA Holi, that Kelly was starting to train. We wanted him with another horse insead of being by his self. Holi had never had a colt or even been breed. Within a few days we noticed that Chrome was nursing on Holi. We went into the pen and sure enough Holi had built a bag and was feeding Chrome. One day the vet came out to check on a couple of mares we were having him AI. The vet said he had never seen this happen to a mare that had never had a colt. I decided I woud never sale Chrome or Holi.
AKA: WIZARD
I bought Bud for Kelly for Fathers Day, when Smokes was 2 years old.
I was driving down the road and saw some people that were selling Australian Sherpard puppies in front of a local resturant. I noticed Bud immediately and pulled over. He is a really great dog and loves doing things even when horses are involved. Bud is also the most patient dog in the world.

In 2015 we had a number of horses die. December 29, 2015, 2 days before my birthday, one of my favorite colts had gotten into a water trough and died. I had been really upset about his death.
About 6 weeks later Kelly was on the internet and came acrossed some Mini Australian Shepard puppies that were for sale. He showed me the pictures that were posted on the internet and I fell in love with Elli. I called the lady that was selling them. She said that she was sorry but she only had one left. She then told me which one was left and it was my Elli, I was so excited. Elli ended up being a Toy Australian Shepard.
Elli usually goes every where with us as she usually takes up half the bed at night and she is constantlly picking on Bud (like I said in the post before this one "Bud is a great dog").

ELLI playing with the horses (she is desensitizing the babies to little moster puppies).
We want to welcome Cash into the family. Elli is such a pretty, fearless and loving little dog, we decided that we wanted to breed her. Kelly called me one day at work and told me he had found a 3 month old male Toy Australian Shepard.
